Johnny Wisdom

While we all snuggled up in our big bed this morning Johnny made a comment regarding race that shows more intelligence then some adults. His comment: "If our colors got all mixed together we would all be the same!" Deep, Sweet, Insightful.
Then it was followed by: "We would all be a dark white!" (Well what do you want...He is only 6)

Those comments were immediately followed with "A Rat's gotta do what a Rat's gotta do." reminding us of why we call him Mister Random. Sigh... how often we say "That's SOOOOOO Johnny!" He keeps us laughing and is such a great kid!!

Just catching up with your blog and news. Johnny is an ADORABLE boy. Cute stories. I had missed that you were hoping to spend a few months in Haiti - sounds like you did well with being flexible as God changed your plans. Hoping you and Ange have your kids home soon.

When Hunter was little he questioned race as well.
He and I made chocolate milk one day and he was very frustrated when I put the chocolate in but the milk was stil white. I explained that you needed to stir the milk and then it would be chocolate....to mix it all together. He then realized that maybe we are not white, brown etc.....God just hasn't mixed us up yet!!! (wise words from a 4 year old, 6 years ago)
Love ya,
LeAnne

That's so funny LeAnne! I don't know if I'll ever be able to make the kids chocolate milk again without thinking of this.... so cute. I wish we could all see life through the eyes of our kids!

Joyfully,
Angela

I wonder if that is what Jesus meant when He said in (Mat 18:3) "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. (NKJ)
