Luke (Tahoe 2010)

Johnny (Tahoe 2010)

Johnny loves to create things with his food. Can you guess what this is? If you guessed pac-man eating a dot while being chased by a ghost, then you nailed it! SOOOOOOOO Johnny!!!

Memorial Weekend 2010

What an action packed Memorial Day Weekend we have had!

Friday~ We attended the college graduation of one of my dear Mother's Helpers. It was in the gorgeous Paramount Theater in downtown Oakland. We were so excited for her and loved looking around the theater. Afterwards we spent the evening at her graduation party.

Saturday was the night we had been long since preparing for. We hosted an event for one of our home school groups. It was a Minute To Win It themed party for around 50-60 people. It was an absolute BLAST and I'll share more details in it's own post soon (hopefully).

Sunday was spent at 2 services of church where we had so many wonderful opportunities to applaud, thank, and pray for many men and women who have or are serving our country. Followed by many hours of fun at the pool together. Afterwards we decided to all stay up all night playing together. Everyone made it except Luke. We played the game Sardines together in a pitch black house. So fun! For those of you that are not familiar with sardines it is like a backwards game of hide and seek. One person hides and then the group tries to find them. When you find them you must hide in the same spot with them without anyone seeing you. Then one by one the other players find and hide there too until you are all squished together in a tight place until the last person finds you. Fun fun!

Monday the kids started the day by decorating our front yard with flags. The rest of the day was spent resting, playing, and watching movies as we were all tired from the previous days of fun. By evening we threw a family Memorial Day party on our deck. We considered doing the traditional BBQ but instead opted to just order pizza. However, we at least honored the tradition a tad by ordering BBQ chicken on our pizza. ;-)

It's A WONDERFUL Life!!!

This weekend Kyle finished performing in his first play. It was a musical version of "It's A Wonderful Life" and Kyle played young George Bailey. He's been taking voice lessons through-out this school year and just BLEW US AWAY with his beautiful singing voice! His acting was top notch too and we were just beaming as he performed! It's so exciting that he has found something he feels really passionate about and is clearly gifted for. The drama team he acted with was made up of all home schooled kids. We got to know them and their parents so well while preparing for the play and have made some wonderful new friends. Below are some photos friends have shared with us from the play~
