A day of all good news

It's hard to believe it's early on a Monday morning because I'm in way too good of a mood! I just want to thank you all for your prayers for our family, our kids, and all the other waiting families and children. While just a few days ago I was so upset about the news we received I am writing you with an excited heart this morning. I was overwhelmed by all the sweet emails we got encouraging us and telling us that we are being covered in prayer. Then the weekend was filled with one exciting blessing after another. My good friend Debbie just committed to go on the mission trip with me in June and she booked her tickets so that we could travel there and back together! Then I got home from church and had an email from an online friend Julie that, if I understand right, has not met the children she is adopting before and not been to Haiti yet and she is going also! I'm so excited about both of them going!!! Then I talked with my parents and my sweet Dad and Grandparents are going to drive here and stay with our kids while I'm gone so my husband does not have to use up any of his vacation days and can save them for more time with our kids when we bring them home. Then my mom will fly here the same day that I come back from Haiti and we will all spend the next day all together and then my Mom, Dad, and Grandparents would all drive home on Saturday. This is such a kind gift and sacrifice for them to do this for us and we are so very grateful.

THEN... I started off this morning with an email from Kez. She told the kids yesterday about the delay in bringing them home and they all took it very well (even Jacques) and were very excited to hear I was coming again in June!

After reading that I read an email with a daily bible verse I have sent to me and this is what it said:

He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. Psalm 40:2, NLT

This describes exactly how I feel as I went from such incredible sadness a few days ago to feeling overwhelmed by answered prayers and unexpected blessings today. God is so very good. If you don't yet have a relationship with God--- you just don't know what you are missing. It is a life filled with joy beyond words to describe it!

Oh, I'm so glad for the update!!! I thought of you Saturday night, we went out for dinner and this adorable "kid" waited on us and he reminded me so much of Jacques from the pictures. I've been so worried about how he would react. I think going in June will REALLY help!!! Maybe you can storm the consultate or MOI or whoever else is clogging the process :)
So glad God came through (once again) for you, you needed the lift (and deserve it).
Love to you kiddo!
