It's a boy....uhm...again!!!!

I know this blog has kind of gone from a joke/encouragement blog to a blog sharing about our adoption. We just have so much joy about the many things happening right now that we want to share that with you. A couple of posts ago I shared with you that we had made the decision to go ahead with the adoption of Jacques. I mentioned then that we were wondering if the birthmom of our other children might want us to adopt their little brother as well and keep them all together.

Yesterday my husband called the director of the orphanage to talk with him about the adoption of Jacques. We also decide to just ask him if he knows anything about the little brother. He was surprised we knew about him because we had heard about him from a missionary/friend staying at the orphanage. He said he had already talked with the birthmom about this (we had not expected to hear that) and she does want us to adopt him as well. He told her that he would not ask us to do it because he didn't want us to feel pressured to adopt but if we asked he would tell us. So, by the end of the phone call we officially had committed to the adoption of both Jacques and Vilner!!!

We are so excited about each of these children! We are also feeling very overwhelmed. God has made it so clear to us that this is HIS plan for our lives and so while we have genuine fears and concerns we also feel excited and an unbelievable amount of love for our children!!

So, for anyone lost by all this craziness...here is the current tally....

3 bio sons ages 8, 6, and 3

3 siblings in Haiti ages 11, 9, and 2- at the end of Second Legal and expected home soon

1 little brother of the above siblings, we think he is 1 year old

1 teenager that we are unsure of his age, according to his fake birth certificate he is 15 but believed to be possibly 13 or 14 instead.

Grand total: 6 boys, 2 girls, 1 frazzled Mom, and one outstanding Dad!

You guys are crazy - but in a good way! Isn't it cool how God told your husband to ask about him? I love stuff like that(: I also emailed you privately - did you get it? No hurries in writing back - just curious if I got your addy right. Happy for you guys!
