Just Keep Movin'

I continue to stand by my belief that our family and life would make a fantastic LIFE COMES AT YOU FAST commercial. Never a dull moment, no never one. With that... We've got an announcement! We are on the move again. The details are still being worked out but it looks like we will be moving back to the Bay Area in January. When the announcement came, right before our kids came home, that the plant Jim works for would be closing down we did not stress (OK, maybe for the first 10 minutes, then we moved on). We knew that God has provided for us every time, never failing to amaze us. Sure enough... this time was no different. We are thrilled to be headed back to the place where we met and fell in love and this whole crazy family thing got started. We are also thrilled that we will be living much closer to many family members on both sides of our families. It's also a great blessing that we can see God taking care of every last detail and then even providing more then we could have imagined... so good to us!

In more of today's big news:

Stephanie had her first day in an American school today. She liked it very much and tomorrow will be riding the school bus for the first time too!
Today I also decided to be brave (always a code word for crazy) and use an at home relaxer on Lovenie's hair. It turned out great and her hair looks twice as long (it was all shaved off not long ago at the orphanage). I also continue to be in awe of how God is healing our little girl. She still has a lot of catching up to do but already has changed big leaps since coming home. There is very little sign left that she had ever had a stroke and she continues to be a great delight to us.

The kids have been home 4 months today. It seems as if they have been home much longer then that. Lovenie has just been a little hoot the whole time. Jude has me wrapped around his finger. He can be soooo sweet and loving. He's also a little crack up and his English is coming along great! Stephanie can be very sweet and a fun big sister at times too but over all our relationship with her is still very much a daily struggle. We know we will "get there" with her one day. Still very amazed and thankful that they have come home to us!

Glad Stephanie enjoyed her first day at school and I hope she has many more wonderful days ahead.

This is my favorite quote...."the kids have been home 4 months today. It seems as if they have been home much longer then that"....isn't it amazing how God makes it seem like they've always been a part of our family after they come home? God somehow makes up for all the "lost" years and makes you forget (at least mostly) all those agonizing days, weeks, months, years of waiting. He is SO GOOD!!!
