My heart just breaks at some of the things you've had to go through recently. You and Johnny are in my prayers. I just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts.

I was playing online earlier and found something that might bring you encouragement during times of trial:

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Psalm 32: 7

At low tide we see many hermit crabs moving among the rocks. At first observation the homes of these little critters appear bulky, awkward, cumbersome…burdensome. Heavy, hard shells with no give. They certainly don’t enhance mobility. When I’m picking one of these sweet critters up, they quickly pull back into the shell and all of a sudden one very big advantage of this home pops into my head…their body is well protected; this home is pretty much impregnable. To get to the body of the crab you would either have to break through the hard material of the shell or risk being pinched. What a perfect hiding place.

In reflection to our lives, trials often appear awkward, cumbersome…burdensome. It might appear to many that a mantle of illness, financial difficulty, or strained relationship doesn’t enhance ones mobility. Yet the outward house the Lord has given each of us today is the clothing of circumstance. And it is in this circumstance, the place the Lord has chosen for each of us that we are under the wings of His protection.

Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Psalm 119: 114

Abba, You have died for me; help me to live in You, resting in the place of the circumstances You have chosen for me today. Within Your chosen circumstances, Abba, pull me into the secret of Your tabernacle, hide me, and set me upon the Rock.Driahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11810531101631450700noreply@blogger.com
